Good computer skills will be required for this role 1st Pharma People - Senior Vendor Engineer Key Accountabilities: • Lead a team comprising members from purchasing, supplier quality and business units responsible for all aspects of supplier management for plastics and packaging components. • Develop new supply sources with purchasing team - qualify components to specified parameters. • Contributes to the development, maintenance and improvements of supplier management policies and procedures. • Provides guidance to other functional areas in applying supplier management system requirements • Promoting the Quality System within the Supply Base - working with Purchasing, Supplier Quality Engineering, Receiving Inspection & the Value Streams to ensure that components meet our requirements. • Dealing with component specification/quality issues as they arise - work with quality and supply groups to disposition product. • Ensuring that adequate corrective action is put in place by suppliers and monitor effectiveness of same. • Assist maintenance of Approved Vendor list and Service Providers lists per agreed guidelines for approval. • Support supplier quality rating to a level which allows certification or dock to stock programs to be implemented. • Lead/work on Process Improvement teams relating to component usage or design. • Drive value improvement programmes with suppliers & support validation plans for new & substitute materials/suppliers • Work closely with suppliers globally and to execute Value Engineering/Component Engineering opportunities to take cost out of product. • Communicate any Transitions to all stakeholders and receive buy-in for implementation timeline. • Responsible for achieving business objectives: productivity, defect reduction, lead-time reduction, on-time delivery, and new supplier launches. • Assist in the negotiation process with suppliers by providing specific category technical expertise. Skills, Experience & Qualifications: • A graduate of Engineering, Sciences or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years experience in a healthcare environment or other similar environment. • Should be able to deal with suppliers, other engineering disciplines within and outside of Site and customers should the need arise. • People Management experience essential. 1st Pharma People - Instrument Service Engineer Job Summary: • To service and repair a range of clinical analysers. • To create and maintain the preventive maintenance programme for analysers used for testing Reagent products. • To carry out mandatory updates to clinical analysers • To carry out instrument calibration. • To maintain records for all maintenance and calibration carried out. • Liaise with service engineers and U.S. counterparts to ensure systems are current with test specifications and procedures requirements. Job Function: • Purchases spare parts and maintains adequate stock for clinical analysers. • Liaise with Technical Operations on technical issues associated with instruments and/or the product testing. • Participates in the investigation of root cause analysis on reagent test issues, customer complaints and corrective actions. • Supports the introduction of new products. Provides technical support to laboratory technicians including training in system operation and routine maintenance. • Supports the development of in-house ranges for all chemistries. Maintains related standard operating procedures and supports validation efforts. • Involvement in team activity to support a programme of continuous process improvement. Education/Experience: • Third level qualification in Electronic Engineering or equivalent. • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in an Electronic or Electromechanical manufacturing environment. • Good knowledge of the repair and testing of Diagnostic Instruments and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify problems and take corrective action. • A good knowledge of GMP, ISO/FDA requirements and computer literacy is required.
